Fatbottom… after lurking in the shadowy straightaways of Poble Sec for a long time, like the anti-heroes they hock in self-published zines, these hawkers of the self-published have moved in El Raval. Champions of the photocopy and servants to the silkscreen flock to the shop with their paper souls. Nico and Neus (and beautiful daughter) still struggle to make ends meet, still have day jobs (well, not the daughter). They’re still there, though.

The majority of their clients are, well, the authors themselves, but they’re experiencing a boom of sorts. Unemployed artists, writers and hobbyists combined with improvements in digital printing technology means more self-publishing. They house limited edition works of art in the shop that will blow your mind: Infierno, a hand-made book of silkscreens by Andrés Magán, for example. Not to mention joyas by locals Malacuerva, Petit Comité del Terror, Zángano Comix, Les Golfes and many more.
